Food for the Brain

In a world where tons of food are available in the market, we wonder how come it always ends up with so many diseases, many of them fatal. I'm sure you all know the general answer to this. Some time ago, I just read an article that fast food can cause Alzheimer's disease later in life. I also read in the 5 major food-borne cancer. To wit: hot dogs, bacon, bagels, fries, chips / cookies. Many of our modern diet are not cancerous. The time is therefore time to return to basics. In this position, we focus on these foods that nourish the brain and help to increase its power and capabilities. Some of the most famous are: - the amount of caffeine cup (1 coffee a day is enough) - Gingko Biloba - fish - rich in omega-3 that prevent the stalemate to be in the blood vessels. When blood vessels are free of fat and cholesterol, blood flows freely, with more oxygen to the brain and feeds your brain functioning. Eat fish at least twice a week to help lower cholesterol for better brain power. If you're one of those who do not like the taste of fish, better take a supplement of omega-3 fatty acids. However, this is not the only one to do a good job in being able to increase their IQ. Here are some examples of foods in the brain. I call brain food, as boosting the performance of your brain, makes you think more clearly, improve memory and help sharpen their skills of reflection and transformation. They are: yogurt, wheat germ, turkey, tuna, spinach, soy, salmon, lettuce, potatoes, peas, beans, peanut butter, oranges, oats, milk, vegetables, linseed oil, eggs, cabbage, chicken, cheese , cantaloupe, Brussels sprouts, brown rice, broccoli, brewer's yeast, lean beef, bananas and avocados. These foods are low glycemic index (GI) and is considered healthy. This means that help reduce the distribution of sugar in the blood. Fruits, though sweet, have a low GI. They still have a "sugar rush" and "sugar crash". Whole fruits have much lower GI compared with their juices for their help in the absorption of natural fibers still slow fruit sugar. Examples of these fruits are grapes, oranges, cherries, apples and grapefruit. Other types of low GI foods are cereals, grains, and bran. Spaghetti and rice are also good. They have a relatively low GI compared to white bread, white flour products and sugar-coated cereals, like Kellogg. Foods with higher sugar Gi much faster in the bloodstream causing the "sugar rush" and the minutes following the accident, after "sugar." It makes you feel lethargic and slow. That way wrong with his mental tasks or tasks that involve a great deal of thought. Here are some more brain food that you should take note: Vegetables, for those of you who still are not aware, have lower rates of GI. They are green leafy vegetables, soy, beans, lentils and chickpeas. Potatoes and carrots, on the other hand have higher levels of instant messaging to take in moderation. Milk and dairy products, you may be surprised to find, have lower levels of the GI of the fruit, but slightly higher than those of legumes. But they are still considered as brain food. Protein is also good for your brain. Amino acids are released that help to improve brain power. Tyrosine and tryptophan, two amino acids that are considered the building blocks of neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters act as transmitters of signals from one brain cell to another. When these amino acids are well fed, they send messages much faster and better. Now that you know the right kinds of food for you, you should be aware of what you eat, because it also affects how your brain and your body will process and digest these foods. For example, if you eat sugary foods to eat vegetables first, then the pulses will prevent the rapid absorption of sugar into your system. Ice cream and fats do the same instead of having the low-fat yogurt with fruit sugar. One more thing to consider is to burn or an excessive carbohydrate because they become the pre-digested and therefore rapidly release sugar into the blood when ingested.
